Мinsk Region is the biggest central region of Republic of Belarus. It borders on all regions of republic. The area of Minsk Region has 39,9 thousand square kilometers and makes with Minsk 19,4 % of the area of Belarus. The population is 1.483.551 persons.

• 5.216 rural settlements.
The Minsk regional executive committee is an executive and administrative body. It provides economic, social and cultural development of the region.

• 18 settlements councils,
• 307 rural councils.
The executive power:
• 1 region executive committe,
• 26 district and city executive committees,
